Responsibilities
- Solution Delivery: Develop solutions using the Pega platform for case management and decision applications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with different stakeholders at all stages of the software delivery process.
- Module Ownership: Take ownership of modules and ensure the delivery of business requirements with quality and timeliness.
- Tool Development: Collaborate with Architecture and Governance teams to develop tools and features on the Pega platform.
- Platform Maintenance: Perform maintenance activities, including upgrades and skimming, to ensure platform stability.
- Problem Solving: Utilize professional concepts and company policies to solve a wide range of complex problems creatively.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor new team members and juniors, sharing technical and functional knowledge.
- Issue Analysis: Assist the Infra/Admin team with the analysis of environmental issues.
- System Monitoring: Monitor and analyze exceptions and alerts in logs, engaging relevant teams for root cause analysis (RCA).
- Software Development: Plan, design, code, and test software systems or applications for improvements and new products.
- Project Participation: Contribute to project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, and ongoing support of systems.
- Prototyping: Conceptualize and quickly develop prototypes in collaboration with product teams and architects.
- Engineering Discussions: Engage in engineering discussions, providing input, asking questions, and enriching team conversations.
- Code Maintenance: Maintain and improve existing code, demonstrating pride of ownership in your work.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in developing Pega applications.
- Familiarity with branch development and understanding of the CI/CD process.
- Experience with integrations such as REST, SOAP, Kafka, and listeners (File, Email, MQ).
- Experience working with Pega 8.x versions.
- Certifications: Pega CSSA certification.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in debugging code and platform issues using Pega debugging tools (e.g., Tracer, Rules and Alert Logs, PDC portal).
- Engaged in code reviews and implementation of best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain Experience: Experience utilizing Pega capabilities at scale with a solid operational understanding.
- Database Knowledge: Familiarity with No-SQL databases.
- Agile Methodology: Experience with the Agile delivery process.
- Hackathon Participation: Involvement in Pega Hackathons and tools development.
